This spring, MCFL has been collaborating with other pro-life organizations to devise ways to reverse some of the provisions in the ROE Act that passed into law last January. Among its other anti-life terms, the law removed the requirement to save the life of a baby born alive and does not require parental consent for adolescents, aged 16 or 17, to obtain an abortion. We are planning to do a petition drive in September to correct these serious defects. The first petition will restore the requirement for life-saving care for every baby born alive, and the second will require parental consent for anyone under the age of 18 to obtain an abortion. A grassroots team of volunteers, organized by state representative districts, is now taking shape. If you would like to get involved, you can reply to me, and I will pass your name and contact information along to the petition team, who will be in touch with you. Please note that once you volunteer, your contact information may be shared with other groups working on this initiative. Thank you for any consideration you may give this request.
